Thanks to Maybeline, a group of us were invited to Canto Kitchen for a food-tasting session.

Canto Kitchen is located at People Park's Complex (Chinatown),

& is the only air-conditioned restaurant in the Complex. It started its business in 2009.

Managed by two chefs, a Cantonese chef & a Malaysia chef, 

Canto Kitchen serves a wide variety of dishes,

& is very suitable for gatherings for family or friends!

So what did we have that night?

Four Hundred & Eighty Eight; Carpe Diem

This post is definitely totally random.

It's 2.47am now.

I slept for 1.5 hrs yesterday & 3+ hrs the night before,

& had two days of filming.

But here I am, still wide awake.

Tonight, I'm not feeling vexed. 

Tonight, my mind & heart actually feel at ease.

The night before yesterday, I realized that my mind & heart were already in sync.

This made decision-making easier, though it was still a struggle.

Yesterday night, I made the decision which in a way, might steer my life into another direction, forever.

Yeterday, I told myself, 

"Every ending is a new beginning. Tonight, marks a new beginning for me."

& I repeated the exact same sentence to myself right before I slept. It kinda worked for me I guess.

I woke up this morning feeling rather refreshed & energetic despite only 1.5 hrs of sleep.

It literally felt like a fresh start for me.

I was motivated to focus, to do my best at work, to abandon the thoughts which should now be left behind.

& tonight, the words "Carpe Diem" suddenly meant so much to me.

Carpe diem, in other words, seize the day.

Tonight, I've learned to embrace the surprises that come along the way;

& to seize the day.

Living day by day.

“Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; 

enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. 

It is later than you think.”

Self-reminder, definitely.

I decided to bring my family to La Villa for a good dinner for sis's birthday :)

Today, I will share with you more about them!


1. Tay KeXin

As I mentioned in my previous post, if I were to choose, she will be my favourite of the 3.

She first quit her corporate job as a Brand Executive at a local telecom firm to take up singing as a career. She first discovered her passion for singing after taking part in NUS Jazz Band (Yes, she graduated with a  Bachelor of Social Science degree in Psychology from NUS). Sounds like a pity to drop a stable full-time job to pursue her hobby and dream yes?

I think it takes for one to be BOLD to make a move like her. 

And it’s something most of us fear, that “what if” we fail…. Just “what – if”

She took that step. 

And now she’s the co-founder of Sparkle Live Music (a music events company). 

She had also performed previously in a Taiwanese program Super Idol 2011, and is planning to launch an EP by early 2013. 

Currently, she can be found performing at nightspots like Switch by Timbre every Thursdays and Quarubar every Friday night.

Filming for "It Takes Two" (对对碰) has started a month ago.

Filming can be tiring & brain-draining, but definitely satisfying.

I was in a zombified for the first week because I basically survived on 3 hrs of slp for 8 days straight!
Had filming in the day followed by rehearsals for Miss Singapore International at night.
It was a really tiring week but I was in motivated mode, because acting is what I love;

I'm doing what I love, & pursuing my passion :)

Will be busy with filming the next 3 months, 

which means I'll be out for work most of the times,

and what I really need now, is a trusty laptop that I can bring along with me anywhere,

so that I can work on the go! 

I usually have waiting time in between, & when I'm travelling to different locations.
It will be really good if I can make full use of the waiting time to get some work done.

I.e editing photos & BLOG!!!!!!

My current laptop is dyinggggg on me.
& guess what? I am lucky.

Because I found the one that I really want now!!

To let go of what you have been familiar with all these while,

Couldn't be more apt than this.

Over the past 1++ weeks, 

my life has been nothing but fruitful, emotional, happy, confused, focused, 

& of it all, dramatic.

All at once.

Felt like a 2 months worth of life all happened in 2 weeks.

You know like how movies/dramas/stories always have those climaxes here & there?
Nah, not at the ultimate climax yet, somewhere btw the pre-climax & a mini climax.

You get my drift.

It would have been so much easier if I can just tell myself,
