Six Hundred & Thirty Three; NutriTea Lemongrass with Ginger, a healthy choice for a healthier me!

May 10, 2014 / ,

The weather has been so terribly humid recently........
and I find myself opening the fridge 69486934 times a day.
Okay, exaggerated figure but you get my drift.
It is so hard not to crave for cold drinks!!
Since it is almost impossible
to stop myself from drinking something cold at least once a day nowadays.....
I might as well be drinking something healthier than sugary sodas riiiiiight?!

I was recently introduced to this drink:
The super tasty F&N NutriTea, Lemongrass with Ginger!

I know some of you would cringe at the word “Ginger”
cause they are often overpowering and really pungent in taste.
I know it is not something I would like to put in beverages.
But I had my first sip and…
I was shocked that both Lemongrass and Ginger go very well together,
the Ginger taste was very subtle.

Verdict?
It would be a lie if I told you that I loved this drink on the first sip,
(Because I already mentioned I am not quite a fan of ginger drinks).
Surprisingly though, the taste was acceptable for me!!
Well yes, it took me a few sips to get accustomed to the taste,
but I was really surprised at myself for actually finishing the whole cup of it!
It was really soothing and refreshing for the throat;
and best of all, it worked as a really good thirst-quencher for me.
I was so proud of myself,
especially since I knew about how beneficial
these two main ingredients are to my health.
*GRINS*

Health benefits of Lemongrass
-Helps to cleanse the body by eliminating toxic substances
-Lowers the cholesterol level
-Helps in relieving nervous exhaustion and stress
-Helps in relieving headaches
-Great infusion for sore throats, bronchitis
-Revitalizes the body

Health Benefits of Ginger
-Helps digestion, soothes stomach upsets
-The anti-inflammatory properties help in overcoming nausea and relieving headaches
-Aids in treating painful menstrual periods (ALERT!!)

In traditional Chinese methods, ginger is commonly used to ‘去风’,
which means "rid the wind" (literal translation).
So yes, ginger is super useful in getting rid of trapped wind and bloating!
And since young, I have been told about how Ginger is really good for me,
and I really do believe so!
As such, over the years, I have been more receptive towards the ginger taste.
And now, as I turn 25 at the end of this year
(okay I just reminded myself about my age again……..),
I understand the importance of eating/drinking more products

that are beneficial for me. :)

Would you like to have a try at this drink too?

The NutriTea team will be at Amoy Street on the 15th May 2014 from 12pm – 2pm!

I visited the location to the other day,

& look at the overwhelming response!

The queue seemed quite long,
but it moved really fast.
People just grab & go!

*Grins*
ALL MINE!!!

hahahah kidding, I only borrowed them for awhile
and placed them back eventually
because the response was just too good
every single carton mattered!

GOOD NEWS!!
Stand a chance to win a 2D1N Staycation at Capri by Fraser
for TWO pax with breakfast included
by participating in the Instagram contest!

How?!
All you need to do is take note of the dates
and the specific hashtag during that period of time.
Then showcase your interpretation in the picture
and put the hashtag in the picture.
So for example, mine would be a picture of me reading a book on my fluffy bed. :D
And I will hashtag in the caption #thisishowirelax.

Simple as that! :)

to find out more about the Instagram contest
and about the F&N Nutritea Lemongrass with Ginger drink!!!
