Back from Hong Kong trip!!!!!!!!
Gimme some time while i sort out the pictures from the
"Mary Kay One Woman Can Beauty Contest",
& of course...... on the food that I had in Hong Kong! :)

Meanwhile, here's a quick post on what happened over the last weekend.

Friday:
Met up with Hayley for our ramen date, like a finally!
Feeling like a dajie once again :)
We can really connect to one another
with regards to our thoughts and feelings due to our chosen career paths,
& I cherish this a lot.
Ganbatte together okie!

We went for Hokkaido Ramen Santouka @ The Central.
(It wasnt easy to find the restaurant though!!)

I had the set with Garlic Fried Rice and Tonkatsu Ramen (with Shoyu soup base).

To me, this is one of the best ramen restaurants in Singapore, for sure!
Just look at the tamago aka egg.
BEST. EVER.

Santouka is famous for its pork cheek ramen (which Hayley ordered).
The pork cheek were really awesome
(I had a try at the meat too heheheh).
It's not too fatty, yet it was really tender & most importantly,
it wasnt tough/dry.
SLURPSSSSS.
One piece of advice: order it with shoyu soup instead of miso (which hayley did),
& we thought with the miso soup,
the ramen had a lil' of the "yellow mee" kinda taste,
which made her ramen not as awesome.

Went to pick Buibui (Hayley & Jayley's qtpie) after his grooming session.
he is way too adorable!!
look at this smart new style.
cannot resist!

Saturday:

White beehoon for dinner with family!
Finally brought them there to try it.
(Blogged about it before here)

I still love the white beehoon a lot,
although I've heard that the standard has dropped.

If  you wish to check this out,
please DO NOT go on weekend evenings!
The queue is really long; it will take around 30-45 minutes of waiting time!
Try to head there on weekdays instead
& if you really wish to go on weekends, try to go before 6pm or even 530pm?
Whether it really is overrated.. i believe you have to try this at least once!

Ordered other dishes as well:

Indonesian style fried chicken wings

Ngoh Hiang
The last time I had this, I wasn't too impressed.
But this time, I thought it was pretty good!

Egg with bittergourd
I'm not a fan of bittergourd AT ALL.
so..... I only ate the parts without the bittergourd.
I love the egg though!
Crispy & tasty.

They ran out of potato leaves & sambal,
so we settled for this beans instead.
 & I loved it!!

Sunday:

Birthday cake for my sister,
made by My Sister Bakes :)

A really beautiful ombre mini rosette cake,
made with real mango puree.
Trust me,
it smelt REALLY good!

It's a rainbow cake!!!
My sister was so surprised & boy,
you should have seen her happy face when she saw the cake!
It was our first time having this & we really liked it :)
