Four Hundred & Forty Eight. -GV Jurong Point + The Avengers

1st May 2012 marked a milestone for Golden Village,
as it reopened its doors at GV Jurong Point, after a $4.5million dollar renovation.

I was one of the lucky ones to be invited to this event,
thanks to OMY
We were invited to catch the movie The Avengers (more abt that later!)
& had a chance to experience the new cinema.

Invited my dearest Min along :)

Let's take a look at some features of the refurbished GV!

Seeing is believing:

It was really more comfy, with the increased legroom.

I can now stretch my legs properly, without having to cramp my legs.
This is especially important when we watch movies of long duration!!

Guess who was the special guest with us at this reopening event?
Hint: SO EMBARRASSING!

.
..
...

Yes, it was Aunty Lucy!

Aunty Lucy did an interview with one of the bloggers.

Anyways, I have GOOD NEWS for you!!

To reward you, GV is having these promotions from 2nd May all the way to 23rd May!
You can find out more about the promotions on this website.

I certainly enjoyed my first movie experience at GV Jurong Point,
& I think you really should check it out yourself too! :)

Alrighty, more photos taken that day!

Introduced Min to Maybeline,
& tadah! now we are all friends :D
Min happened to have the same watch as Maybeline!

& now, about The Avengers.

I am not a Marvel comics fan,
because I didnt grow up watching these marvel characters.
& I dont usually watch marvel movies,
& even used to have negative impressions of them :X
Ever since Thor the movie, my impression changed!
I enjoyed that movie.

So the point is, when someone who dont usually enjoy marvel movies comments
that The Avengers is nice, you know it really is.
In fact, I felt that it was awesome! :)

Imagine paying for one ticket, & you get the Awesomeness multiplied by 6.
6 superheroes all gathered at once!
(Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow)
There was quite a balanced focus on all the characters.

To be frank, the first hour of the show was slightly dry with not much excitement.
But since Iron Man was kinda funny from the beginning, it kinda made up for it.
I like how the effects seen in the movie did not make me go giddy at all.
The action scenes were well-paced, & neatly done.

Important:
Do not be so ganjiong (do not be in such a rush) & leave the cinema once the credits appear.
Stay til the end because something will be revealed after the credits roll.

Alrighty!
Go catch The Avengers, at GV Jurong Point this weekend if you have not watched it yet!
